Resident Files: Health Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in the Section on Pediatric Trainees (S6:E15)

The Section on Pediatric Trainees (SOPT) of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has implemented several initiatives aimed at making pediatrics a more diverse and inclusive workforce while working towards achieving global child health equity. The equity, diversity, and inclusion workgroup focus their efforts on supporting trainees, including medical students, residents and fellows, with one goal of strengthening the pathways to careers in medicine for historically underrepresented communities in the field.
