Conditions We Treat at the International Center for Colorectal and Urogenital Care

Our comprehensive pediatric care team can work with patients to deliver care throughout their life. Our world-class team is always available to care for you and your child, including prenatal consultations, delivery of patients with anorectal malformations, colorectal surgery, bowel management and care for adult patients born with these types of conditions. 

We treat the following conditions:

  • Anorectal malformations or imperforate anus
  • Cloacal anomaly/cloacal exstrophy
  • Hirschsprung's disease/total colonic aganglionosis
  • Vaginal agenesis
  • Fecal incontinence
  • Severe constipation or bowel accidents and soiling due to spina bifida, neurogenic bowel, tethered spinal cord and sacral agenesis
  • Pelvic tumors

The Connection Journey: Living a Full Life with Cloaca

At 23 weeks pregnant, Sandy and Karsang found out their baby, Tashi, had cloaca. Four years later, Tashi's had reconstructive surgery and is a vibrant 4-year-old. Gabriela and Adrian found out their baby, Allison, had cloaca when they were 26 weeks pregnant. They're looking to Tashi's parents for help in the journey ahead.
