A cancer diagnosis is never easy. Feelings of sadness, anxiety, anger and despair are difficult but normal reactions when a child is diagnosed with a serious illness. Effective coping and emotional adjustment is often dependent on access to psychosocial support that is tailored to address the challenges most often encountered by patients and their families. At Children’s Hospital Colorado, we offer a comprehensive cancer wellness program for patients and families who are receiving treatment through our Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
