About our community sports medicine partnerships

Community involvement is a primary focus for Children’s Hospital Colorado. At the Sports Medicine Center, we actively participate in sports medicine community outreach. We lead training sessions for parents and coaches that highlight the importance of safe sports practices, including proper training, nutrition and recovery. We also staff several certified athletic trainers at regional high schools and youth sports organizations, such as Jefferson County School District.

Why partner with our sports medicine team

We’re board-certified sports medicine experts, and we understand that treatment of orthopedic conditions in young athletes requires collaboration from many movement specialties. That’s why our Orthopedics Institute includes pediatric orthopedics, orthopedic surgery and sports medicine.

This means we can provide the sports medicine education needed to help athletes, parents and coaches maintain healthy routines. We have the experience to provide recommended next steps for any sports injury. And we have the resources to help athletes heal and make safe returns to their sports.

Cutting-edge facilities, technology and research

Our pediatric-specific facilities are equipped with the latest technology, including EOS X-ray, MRI machines and operating rooms. Sports Physical Therapy gyms are also available to help athletes with strength, endurance and agility training.

We collaborate with other Children’s Colorado departments to develop new programs and initiate research studies for sports-related conditions. Athletes from our community partners may have the opportunity to participate.
